facebook is my drug
The other day i went on the computer to listen to a song on itunes. I must of had alot on my mind that day because i then realized that i was on facebook. This is a serious problem and is turning into a communication breakdown. I am starting to fear a life without facebook. I seems so unnecessary but at the same time so addicting. Facebook is my drug. I am an avid facebook user as well as thousands of other weak teenagers my age. I hope to one day get over the fad of facebook and live a normal life once again. I fear that this dangerous obsession is becoming so addicting that it will one day surpass the pokemon fad of 1999 - 2001... and we all know how deadly that virus was.

Facebook is addicting. I think it can be a great thing but it's so easy to become dependent on it. I realized it this past week when I didn't have a laptop for 3 days and I ended up constantly checking facebook on school computers. Next week im seriously limiting my facebook and non academic computer usage, in order to prove to myself that i can do it and to see how it affects my daily productivity and social interaction.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. Its amazing how much time I've spent on facebook that could have been spent doing work. I never even realized this until recently. This is very unusual to me because I hardly spend anytime on the internet during my leisure time. I feel like although facebook is helpful in many ways I do beleive it can be a problem, when it begins to take away from important aspects of life.
ReplyDeleteThere really should be some sort of medication to get all of us unaddicted to Facebook. I'm on it all the time, on my Blackberry and such. it's horrible.
ReplyDeleteI still do not understand how so many people become addicted to this, yes it use facebook a lot just to see how my friends and family that i am away from are doing, but i am certainly not addicted to it. I believe facebook is a great development in social networking, and if you know how to present yourself and secure your safety then you should definitely use it, but there is no way i can become addicted to this, it would be like saying im addicted to knowing everything about my distant relationships and if you want to say im addicted to anything it be that which is not so bad.
