final post

this is obviously my last post so i basically just wanted to give a quick review of everything i've learned in this class. this class was obviously a lot better than most csis classes for many reasons. first of all, we did social networking stuff which is so much better than learning excel or power point. i hate those two programs. social networking is something we can have fun with and be creative about at the same time. i think that this class was very handy i i feel that i really learned a lot from it.

concluding the school year

so i am basically writing to ay that the school is is coming to an end and i feel like a million dollars. summer is coming up and i am basically just gonna relax the whole time, work and little, and record a album with my band. i was actually offered a very prestigious internship at mec global, but turned it down. i figured that i am still a send year student so why waste a summer now? plus it was every five days a week for twelve hours and little pay in the city. i am not ready to start life yet. one more summer of partying.

search engines

after disusing all of the different types of search engines i feel that i have a much better understanding. unfortunately i feel that no matter how specific these search engines become i will still only use the one and only, google. there is just something about this website that is so very appealing. i have always used google and will probab;y always use it because it is so standard and so easy to use. viva la google

south park

watching the south park episode in class.. specifically the part where cartman is showing kyle the website where all the guys are jacking off.. weird. but the premise of the episode is pretty clever. how stan is "sucked into facebook" . i think its a really good metaphor. south park has been doing a lot of current events lately, which is kinda lame i think. the old episodes are much better. but yea i get sucked into facebook like everyone else and its a terrible drug. i make blogs about it all the time. i hope we watch more south park in this class.

cell phones

i guess the new cool thing is to have a blackberry. i dont have one yet but in order to keep up with the times i should be getting one soon..or the next new peice of technology that comes out. i think there are like only two huge differences between a blackberry and a normal phone is the internet and bbm. internet is cool but the bbm thing seems revolutionary. it seems like our communication is getting further backtracked because now were pretty much IMing on the run. we cant live without communicating technologically. its getting pretty bad i think

no laptop

So last monday i was in my philosophy class and i was thinking of all the work that had to been done during this busy week, when suddenly i realized i had an eight page paper due in two days. i started to freak out in my seat because i felt i should be at my room doing all of this work. I had this huge paper, three midterms, and to update csis assignments. Once class ended i pretty much sprinted home to find a desk with no laptop on it. I suddenly became short of breath. i thought maybe my roommate took it but i could not get in touch with him because he was taking a test. i needed to do so much work but i literally could not start anything because i didnt have my laptop. it wasnt until that exact moment that i realized that i am addicted to technology. like an alcoholic finds out he cant go a day without a drink, i needed my computer. it turns out that my roommate did take my laptop because he needed it at the last minute. so for an hour and a half a sat at my desk trying to read. it was an unforgettable experience.  

bored

so i havent had any work to do this semester for some reason and i have been really bored. i started to fool around with my macbook and learned that there are so many cool features on this laptop. once again, i feel that i don't need have of these awesome applications but once i get into them i cannot see how life can go on without them. i feel that apple really flourished in the last couple of years. they are coming out with new products that do not even seem necessary, mainly the ipad. once i read about this new idea i could not believe it. apple has done it again. you can do everything on this new invention. from reading the news paper to checking you emails this truly is a necessity. i cannot wait to see what other big idea apple will come out with next. technology is truly taking over our lives.
